1... Get Digging
Gardening is one of the most relaxing and rewarding forms of
exercise. You’ll be out in the fresh air, keeping active and reducing your
stress with every weed you pull. If flowers aren’t really your thing, then why
not consider planting some vegtables and herbs. You’ll be able to use them in
your cooking and you’ll save a fortune instead of buying them from your
supermarket.
2... Dress for
Happiness
No, this is not encouragement to indulge in
power-dressing. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Consider adding some new
colourful items to your wardrobe that will bring a smile to your face. Pinks,
yellows and light blues are all clours that are known to instantly lift our
mood, so by adding a little splash of colour you’ll be sure to brighten up your
day!
3... Keep a Diary
It’s good to
talk, but sometimes it’s just not possible. Instead of venting your anger and
frustration up inside, talk to yourself! Keep a diary and write in everything
that is on your mind. It’s a very constructive and positive form of release and
it’s nice to be able to look back on different stages of your life to keep in
check with how you are. The good thing is that you can say anything you want and
you don’t have to worry about your secrets getting out.
4... Get Up Late

Have a lie-in. That Saturday morning lie-in is precious to most of us, but what if you could enjoy it mid-week, without feeling too guilty. If you can, try
varying your work hours to break your usual routine. Perhaps you can ask your boss if it’s okay to work late one evening a week so that you start at a later time too. Changing from your usual routines can make you feel more in control of your life and not governed by the clock. And those extra few hours in bed will make you feel much better too!
5... Set goals with
deadlines
In order to achieve your goals, you must set yourself some realistic deadlines. Instead of saying
‘I wish I could drive’, map out a deadline for yourself that says ‘Next week I will book driving lessons and by Christmas I will have saved enough to buy a car’. Make that dream holiday a reality by doing your research on ideal destinations, talking to your boss about holidays and planning your savings. Soon it will all fall together and you’ll be jetting off into the sunset.
6... Budget
It’s not untrue to say
that most of us worry about money throughout our lives. No matter how hard we
work, there are always bills to pay and by the end of the month, things can get
a little tight. Instead of stressing yourself out over money, why not make a
budget instead. Spend an evening evaluating your finances and work out a
realistic savings plan for the future. It will literally take a weight off of
your mind just knowing that you have a plan in place and before long, you’ll
have a nice little nest-egg too!
8... Sweeter Health
Did you know that honey can help to lower cholesterol, allows your brain to function better and it’s a great
moisturiser too! When accompanied by mild water, honey diffuses into the bloodstream in just seven
minutes. Its free sugar molecules make the brain function better since the brain is the largest consumer of sugar. Researchers have recently discovered that honey slows the oxidation of ‘bad’ IDL cholesterol, which is responsible for causing arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. So honey can fight against cholesterol. Honey is also extremely nourishing for the skin and when used as a face pack it helps in rejuvenating the skin leading to the elimination of fine lines and wrinkles!
