1... Buy Flowers
At home or at work, or in the hands of a good friend, a
small investment in fresh flowers pays a nice return. There is nothing more
beautiful than fresh flowers in the home, or on your desk at work. And there is
nothing nicer than receiving them from friends or family members. So get
picking!
2... Keep an eye on your direct debits
Are you really
sure you know what’s leaving your bank account every month? Insurance premiums
for policies you no longer need and subscriptions to organisations you no longer
support can trickle out of your bank account for years. It may only seem like a
small amount on a monthly basis, but added up over time, you may be losing a lot
of money unnecessarily. Close these direct debits and open a savings account
which you can watch grow over time.
3... Be a
good friend

Friends are like the family that we choose to have. They are there in good times and
in bad, though sometimes we can forget to say thanks for just being there at any time. Organise a special event wth your friend or group of friends. Maybe you can all meet in town at the weekend and enjoy a pampering day spa treatment before going to your favourite restaurant for a long lunch. You’ll get to catch up with everyone and treat yourself at the same time.
4... Get Housework Happy

Using lots of elbow grease as you do
your housework raises your pulse and gives your whole body a workout. Recognise the workout value of cleaning and you’ll start to enjoy those dreaded chores more and more! Crank up the radio and get cleaning. Not only will you enjoy the exercise and the de-stressing values of cleaning, but your house will look fabulous and you’ll be able to sit back afterwards and enjoy a clean, tidy environment.
5... The lunchtime club
Does everyone eat sandwiches at their
desk during lunch? Why not start up a lunchtime club to go for a half-hour walk together every lunchtime. It’s a healthy way to get exercise as well as getting to know your colleagues outside of the work environment. Plus it will help you to beat the dreaded 3 o’clock slump that most of us feel after eaing too much starch and not getting enough fresh air at lunctime.
6... Swim against the tide

Don’t simply go with the flow. When
others are giving up and getting washed away, keep fighting your way upstream. Remember, only
dead fish swim with the tide!
8... Brain boost
Did you know that honey can help to lower cholesterol, allows your brain to function better and it’s a
great moisturiser too! Researchers have recently discovered that honey slows the oxidation of ‘bad’ LDL
cholesterol which is responsible for causing arteriosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. So honey can fight against cholesterol. Honey is also useful in boosting alertness. Boost your brain function by drinking a tablespoon of honey dissolved in a glass of warm water. This allows the honey to diffuse into the bloodstream in just seven minutes. Pamper your self with a homemade honey face pack. It helps in rejuvenating the skin leading to the elimination of fine lines and wrinkles!
